CHAI Creates Connections for Community Educators
For over 25 years, CHAI has been working to support northwest Baltimore schools. In 2021, CHAI began convening principals from the 10 public schools we serve to exchange ideas and support one another in navigating the pandemic’s effects on schools. After a brief hiatus, CHAI reconvened the All Principals group last month at a fun and informative breakfast meeting, where principals heard presentations by the Elijah Cummings Youth Program, Park Heights Urban Farm, and Pearlstone Retreat Center & Outdoor Education Campus about programs and resources they can bring to their schools. CHAI’s Director of Resident Services spoke about the opportunity to create intergenerational programming with the residents of CHAI’s senior living communities. The principals plan to continue meeting monthly. We are honored to facilitate valuable connections among school administrators that help make the public schools in northwest Baltimore stronger.
