Helping Older Adults Get Around Town
CHAIway
We are thrilled to have relaunched the CHAIway, a program of CHAI and AgeWell, to get older adults where they need to go – independently. CHAIway will be rolled out in phases as it expands to serve the community.
PLEASE NOTE: We are currently enrolling existing CHAI clients and residents of CHAI’s Senior Living Communities, with future plans to extend enrollment to qualifying community members. Please fill out the form below to be added to our waitlist.
PHASE 1
CHAIway OTG (On the Go): Qualifying adults age 55+ who reside in CHAI’s General Service Area of Cheswolde, Cross Country, Fallstaff, Glen, Mt. Washington, and Pikesville or at ANY of CHAI’s Senior Living Communities may enroll. Participants will have access to on-demand discounted Uber and Lyft rides through our transportation coordination partner, On the Go. The service will offer one-way and round-trip rides to grocery stores, doctor appointments, social visits — and more — within an fifteen mile radius of CHAI’s offices.
PHASE 2
CHAI will reinstate the volunteer driver program, which will offers a flexible and highly rewarding volunteer opportunity for community members to connect with older adult neighbors while providing a crucial and in-demand service.
