Weinberg Village Residents’ Original Songs Revealed

June 5, 2025

Five residents of Weinberg Village recently took part in a second round of The Lullaby Project— a meaningful and creative experience that pairs residents with professional musicians to co-write original songs. In honor of the country’s upcoming 250th birthday, this year’s theme, “Being American,” invited residents to reflect on the values, memories, and experiences that have shaped their sense of national identity. Participants shared their stories, which musicians then transformed into lyrics and set to music in the style each resident chose. Last month, the song writers and their Weinberg Village Neighbors gathered for a celebration as their original songs were revealed. Song writers beamed with pride as everyone sang and enjoyed. Thank you to the Iris Music Project, Baltimore Classical Guitar Society, Baltimore County Commission on Arts and Sciences, National Endowment for the Arts, and the Augustine Foundation for making this experience possible!
