The Myerberg Center is Buzzing with Opportunities to Connect

December 13, 2024

The Edward A. Myerberg Center is a vibrant hub for connection and community. In November, the Myerberg was host to three dynamic events that drew nearly 1,000 guests to the Center over a three-day period. The festivities began with the annual Fall Craft Fair, where more than 60 local vendors displayed unique and handmade creations, including crocheted animals, pottery, paintings, and local honey. Over 600 visitors enjoyed shopping and connecting with local artisans. Next, the Myerberg hosted a beautiful Veterans Day Celebration, honoring service members and featuring keynote speaker Lockard “Bud” Gahs Jr., a 100-year-old WWII veteran who shared his moving account of helping liberate the Dachau concentration camp. The event concluded with a salute to all veterans in attendance. And later that day Northwest Neighbors Connecting (NNC) held its November Village Gathering, featuring a discussion about dementia, and a special 100th birthday celebration for a longtime NNC member. We honored centenarians, celebrated veterans, and built community. CHAI is proud to support the Myerberg Center and the many opportunities taking place there that inspire, connect, and enrich lives.
