Sharing the Love of Food and Community in Park Heights
In February, the One Park Heights initiative sponsored a fabulous foodie event showcasing the diversity of food traditions enjoyed by residents of Park Heights. The One Park Heights, One Love festival took place at Langston Hughes Community Center, where over 100 community members from across northwest Baltimore enjoyed tasting Kosher, Latin, Afro-Caribbean, and Middle Eastern food while engaging in facilitated small group discussions about the diverse cultures among residents of Park Heights. Attendees raved about the delicious food and thoughtful conversation and loved the opportunity to get to know their neighbors and neighborhood better, building relationships and understanding across the community.
