Sharing Our Stories and Creating New Opportunities
On November 17, the Northwest Baltimore Partnership (NWBP) held a screening of its 2022 oral history documentary Northwest Baltimore: Through Their Words. Scores of interested community members gathered at Sinai Hospital’s Zamoiski Auditorium to view the filmed histories of long-time northwest Baltimore residents. The event fostered inspired discussions and created additional opportunities to collaborate. Unexpected cross-city connections occurred between Pastor Troy Randall (At The House social settlement program in Arlington) and Shoshana Harris (NNC Village) – both from northwest – and Nia Redmond and Harold Madison from the East Baltimore History Library. Coming together to explore our shared history creates collaboration and connection at its best!
