Service Coordinators Strive for Total Wellness for Residents
The skilled and dedicated Resident Services Coordinators (RSC) at CHAI’s Weinberg Senior Living Communities work directly with residents to assess their needs and offer resources, often going above and beyond to ensure their total wellness. One RSC at Weinberg Place, had been working with a resident for months and observed that his humility often prevented him from getting his needs met. Although the RSC was ready and willing to mediate when he informed her about needed repairs to his wheelchair, she recognized that it would ultimately be more empowering for him to act on his own behalf. With her gentle encouragement, he did so and very proudly reported that the technician made the basic repair and installed a new battery and seat as well. Due to the RSC’s care, the resident received a much-needed boost to his self-confidence and a reminder that his voice counts.
