School Supply Drive Helps Local Students off to a Strong Start

CHAI teamed up with the Jewish Connection Network and Har Sinai Oheb Shalom Congregation to gather new and gently used school supplies for students at the public schools supported by CHAI. We are delighted to report that this effort resulted in a substantial collection of donated supplies, sufficient to benefit all twelve public schools we serve. The CHAI team will disseminate backpacks, markers, crayons, notebooks and more during Back-to-School Night events at all eight Pikesville schools, and Cross Country and Fallstaff Elementary/Middle Schools, The Mount Washington School, and Frederick Douglass High School, which will be located in the former Northwestern High School building for the next two school years. It is a joy to help students and families start the school year off strong and to do our part to support thriving community schools in northwest Baltimore.
