Sandy Johnson Leaves a Decades-long Legacy in the Fallstaff Neighborhood

February 19, 2024

After over two and a half decades of generous service, approximately 7 years as 2nd vice president and 19 years as president of the Fallstaff Improvement Association (FIA), Sandra A. Johnson will be stepping down. Sandy became president of FIA in 2005, initially focusing her work on environment, sanitation and education. Over the years, she has tirelessly advocated for the betterment of Fallstaff. Sandy partnered with CHAI to establish the Fallstaff Multicultural Organizing Project, which has been strengthening the neighborhood for ten years through community planning, neighborhood improvement projects, and activities that build engagement and understanding among neighbors from diverse cultures. We are deeply grateful to Sandy for her passion and dedication and congratulate her on the deep impact she has had on Fallstaff and all of northwest Baltimore. We look forward to FIA’s continued success under the leadership of new president, Joshua Richardson.
