Rock Steady Boxing Keeps Seniors Healthy and Active

The Edward A. Myerberg Center is a vital source of connection for hundreds of older adult members throughout Baltimore and around the world. The Myerberg also serves as an important hub for organizations and partners who bring valuable resources to members. A long-time partner of the Myerberg, the Maryland Association for Parkinson Support (MAPS) sponsors several classes that help older adults manage the symptoms Parkinson’s Disease. Rock Steady Boxing (RSB) is one of the most popular MAPS classes at the Myerberg. Center Director Inbal Neun (a Certified RSB Instructor) was recently invited to present a RSB demonstration at the University of Maryland School of Medicine’s Parkinson’s symposium. Over 50 symposium attendees got to experience boxing drills, strength training, and balance exercises first-hand. CHAI and Myerberg are honored to be recognized for bringing innovative programming to help older adults stay active and healthy.
