Reflections on Fiscal Year FY 2023
CHAI extends its thanks to the many community members and agency stakeholders who joined our Annual Meeting on June 15. Together, we reflected on a strong and impactful fiscal year, recognized valued community partners, applauded the dedication of CHAI’s professional staff, honored our board, and welcomed new board members. We heard a special d’var Torah from Rabbi Bruce Kahn, uncle to CHAI’s CEO, and remarks from CHAI’s Founding Executive Director, Ken Gelula, particularly meaningful on the 40th anniversary of CHAI’s inception. It was a joy to celebrate 40 years of investing in northwest Baltimore – providing opportunities to live independently in safe housing, supporting active, connected living for older adults, lifting up neighborhoods, and serving as a trusted convener. We are excited to kick off the commemoration of our 40th anniversary year and look forward to celebrating with our community of supporters in the year to come.
