Peabody Musicians Bring Music to the Villages

CHAI is dedicated to keeping the residents of its Weinberg Senior Living Communities safe, empowered and engaged. Through an innovative partnership with the Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University, Weinberg Village residents are invited to participate in a pilot program that brings classically trained musicians to their doors. On Sunday, October 17, three recent Peabody graduates—a cellist, a pianist and a violinist—will perform an inaugural concert at the Villages. The musicians will then play and teach music during a 6-month onsite residency, playing four days per week on various floors of each building so that the residents can enjoy the music without gathering in large groups. There will also be small concerts and opportunities for residents to take lessons with the musicians.
