Partnerships for a Stronger Northwest

As a community convener, CHAI creates opportunities for organizations invested in northwest Baltimore to work together for the common good. Recently, CHAI hosted Secretary Jake Day and a team of professionals from the Maryland Department of Housing & Community Development, for a briefing on the Northwest Baltimore Partnership (NWBP) and its development priorities for northwest Baltimore City and County. Several NWBP partners gathered to share overviews of some of the capital projects that are revitalizing northwest Baltimore. Presentations included CHAI’s affordable senior living communities, Bridges CDC Belvedere Place Redevelopment Project, LifeBridge Health’s community development efforts, the redevelopment of the Pikesville Armory, the Park West Health System Capital Expansion project, and the restoration of Edgecombe Park. Secretary Day noted the importance of the cross jurisdictional work of the NWBP and thanked the partnership for its collaborative work revitalizing northwest Baltimore.
