NYT Best-Selling Author Headlines Myerberg Center Event

May 15, 2024

In April, the Edward A. Myerberg Center hosted a conversation among New York Times best-selling author Pam Jenoff, CHAI’s CEO Lisa K. Budlow, and Harriette Wienner, Chair of Women’s Engagement and Philanthropy at The Associated: Jewish Federation of Baltimore. These three insightful women discussed Jenoff’s writing and publishing process before a full audience, exploring her inspiration for the characters and themes in her books Code Name Sapphire and The Lost Girls of Paris. Jenoff lit up the room with personal anecdotes while sharing her experience as a historical fiction author, whose novels are set during the Holocaust. The discussion included reflections on our shared history and lessons that are relevant in the context of the world today. The Myerberg Center offers meaningful engagement for older adults, including Holocaust survivors, several of whom joined the event.
