Northwest Baltimore Partnership Brings Investment to Park Heights and Pikesville

Over the past several years, the Northwest Baltimore Partnership (NWBP) has secured $3.4 million in funding from the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development through the Baltimore Regional Neighborhood Initiative (BRNI). CHAI is excited to announce that the FY 2023 BRNI awards announced last month will support several important projects in northwest Baltimore City and County. Two notable new projects are the revitalization of Edgecombe Park, a hidden gem in Park Heights, which will include repurposing tennis courts into a senior-led community garden and building an amphitheater for neighborhood events, and the development of the Ahavas Chaim Park Heights Youth Center, a facility for at-risk young men that will offer facilities for recreation, mental health counseling, and vocational guidance. CHAI congratulates all of our NWBP partners who received BRNI funding this year. Together, we are building value from Park Circle to Pikesville.
