NNC Welcomes 18 New Members with a Tea Party

Northwest Neighbors Connecting (NNC) recently welcomed 18 new members to the village with its first annual tea party. While sipping warm drinks on a cold afternoon in a beautifully decorated room, new members learned about the various clubs and activities the village offers, as well as other CHAI programs that support aging in community— from Senior Home Repair and Benefits to CHAIway transportation and the Edward A. Myerberg Center. After the presentation, long-time members enjoyed sharing what they love most about the village they’ve created together. One member described how NNC changed her perspective on Baltimore after she met new friends through knitting, chair yoga, and the book club. Another reflected on the village’s name and said it couldn’t be more fitting because the group is truly connecting people in meaningful ways. By the last sip of tea, newcomers weren’t just learning about the village; they were already feeling a part of it. Are you interested in becoming an NNC member?
