NNC Group Trips Return with Gusto
CHAI’s Northwest Neighbors Connecting (NNC) is a member-led community of over one hundred active, creative and independent older adults who design, plan and implement programming, trips and events, staying engaged and connected as they age in community. When pandemic restrictions started to ease, NNC members were ecstatic to be able to come together again to resume in-person activities. Recently, a group of NNC members planned a visit to the American Visionary Art Museum – their first group trip in over two years! Trip participants enjoyed door-to-door shuttle service and a docent-led tour of the museum, after which they had an outdoor lunch in the museum’s sculpture garden. The outing was such a success that NNC’s next planned venture to the Baltimore Museum of Art in May is already at capacity!
