NNC Explores the Beauty and History of Havre de Grace

In September, Northwest Neighbors Connecting (NNC) enjoyed a beautiful day trip to the scenic town of Havre de Grace. With blue skies and a light breeze off the water, the group explored Concord Point Park, took in the historic lighthouse, and strolled along the Chesapeake Bay boardwalk, enjoying both the natural beauty and the town’s rich history. Along the boardwalk, members spotted ducks, geese, and a great blue heron while learning about native plants and conservation efforts from a volunteer tending the shoreline. They took time to browse local shops and enjoy the small-town charm. Days like this reflect what NNC is all about: active, engaged neighbors supporting one another through shared experiences; meaningful connections; and opportunities to explore, learn, and grow together. CHAI is proud to support NNC and make trips like this and everyday connections possible.
