Myerberg Center Promotes Mental Health Awareness for Older Adults

The Edward A. Myerberg Center continues to play a vital role in supporting the wellness of its members. Last month, the Myerberg hosted Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) for Older Adults, a nationally recognized program focused on identifying and responding to mental health and substance use challenges in later life. CHAI team members who regularly work with older adults participated and learned the MHFA action plan to help better serve the community. Over two days, 15 participants, including CHAI staff, Northwest Neighbors Connecting (NNC) members, Bagel Boys, and other Myerberg members, completed the 8-hour skills-based course. This opportunity underscored Myerberg’s commitment to wellness, education, and connection within the community.
