Making Residents Feel Welcome

Ms. S had just moved into Weinberg Village when she shared with the site team that she had no food in her apartment. The team quickly connected her with another resident who distributes food donations from local churches. Within hours, he arrived with a cart full of groceries, including chicken, fresh produce, and canned goods. While helping her unpack, he warmly welcomed her and assured her that Weinberg Village is a place where neighbors look out for each other. Before moving in, Ms. S was socially isolated and rarely went out. But this warm welcome changed everything. She now attends events, chats with neighbors, and has made lots of friends. Her family expressed deep gratitude to the site team for their compassion and support. At Weinberg Village, the team connects residents to resources—and the residents create a true sense of community and belonging.
