Helping the Ravens Make the Holidays Bright
On a crisp fall afternoon before Thanksgiving, CHAI staff gathered with volunteers to help the Baltimore Ravens distribute fresh turkeys to the parents of Cross Country Elementary/Middle School (CCEMS) students. Because of CHAI’s past involvement with the Ravens turkey giveaway at Fallstaff Elementary/Middle, the Ravens approached CHAI to host again and this year and chose CCEMS. CHAI coordinated the event, decorated the gym in holiday and Ravens décor, and assisted as Ravens players and volunteers gave out over 200 turkeys to CCEMS families and neighbors. Events like this are some of the many ways CHAI is supporting northwest Baltimore school communities, making holidays and every day a bit brighter.
