CHAI is committed to helping older adult community members maintain their independence at home. So, every year, before the onset of winter, CHAI hosts Good Neighbor Day, an opportunity for staff and volunteers to help local seniors winterize their homes and yards. This year, with the well-being of our staff and older neighbors in mind, CHAI will be delivering Good Neighbor Day in a Box. CHAI is packing reusable plastic containers with hand sanitizer, a hose spigot cover, hand warmers, a winterization checklist and some comforting treats, like tea and hot cocoa. CHAI is also supplying each homeowner with rock salt and a handy dispenser that seniors can use to keep walkways clear and safe this winter.
