Creating and Preserving Housing Opportunity for Seniors

CHAI is pleased to share that Woodland Gardens II, a new 75-unit affordable senior housing community in Park Heights, is now more than half-way done construction, with completion slated for late spring 2023. We have already received a great deal of interest from prospective residents in the Park Heights community. CHAI expects to begin accepting applications for this beautiful new residence soon through its management partner, Humphrey Management. CHAI is also hard at work on the complete modernization of Weinberg Place, a 227-unit senior residence on West Belvedere Avenue. The renovations include refreshed kitchens and baths, new windows and floors and updated community spaces. Residents in the north tower will move back into their newly refurbished apartments in January and February, and we expect the full project to be complete by early 2024. Through the Woodland Gardens II and Weinberg Place projects, CHAI is meeting its mission of creating and preserving high quality housing that supports seniors to age with dignity in northwest Baltimore.
