Connecting Continents: JDC-Eshel Visits the Myerberg

The welcoming hub of the Edward A. Myerberg Center served as a fitting space to host a team from JDC-Eshel during their September visit to Baltimore as guests of the Weinberg Foundation. As the largest older adult services agency in Israel, JDC-Eshel develops cutting edge, research-based programs and partners with the government to take the successful ones to scale. CHAI has a long history with the agency, meeting frequently pre-pandemic to share and learn from one another. Together with Jewish Community Services, CHANA, and The Associated, we presented the programs and services that operate under the AgeWell Baltimore umbrella. Inbal Neun, Myerberg Center Director, led an informative tour of the building. Melanie Waxman, Technology Concierge, showcased the center’s Tech Hub, and CHAI staff shared about our many older adult programs, including CHAIway and Northwest Neighbors Connecting. The JDC-Eshel team briefed us on their newest initiatives, which include tracking optimal aging outcomes and building age-friendly cities.
