Community Gathers to Celebrate Northwest
The second annual Taste of Northwest festival held last month was an exciting celebration of community, where guests enjoyed the sights, sounds, and flavors of the rich and diverse cultures of northwest Baltimore City and County. The free family-friendly, outdoor event developed through the collaborative efforts of the Northwest Baltimore Partnership, featured food and wares from local merchants as well as an eclectic mix of live music. While adults socialized, children were treated to activities sponsored by the Park Heights JCC, Sankofa Children’s Museum of African Cultures, and @ The House. Held next door to the Woodland Gardens Campus, the lively festival was buzzing with conversation and camaraderie. Several elected officials from both Baltimore City and County, including Mayor Scott and County Executive Olszewski, were in attendance and shared inspiring remarks, adding to the regional spirit of the gathering.
