CHAI’s Teacher Appreciation Breakfasts Fuels Bodies and Souls
As the 2022-23 school year neared its end, CHAI organized Teacher Appreciation Breakfasts for the teachers at Pikeville’s public schools. Made possible by a generous grant from The Gordon Trust, the breakfasts recognize the teachers’ hard work and dedication throughout the academic year, providing another layer of support in creating positive school communities. Principals and teachers sent notes to CHAI expressing their gratitude. To ensure inclusive participation, CHAI made kosher meals available as well. One teacher from Woodholme Elementary shared, “This was the first time I was able to partake in a sponsored meal at school. It meant a lot to me that a kosher option was provided. It was a real pick-me-up!” CHAI is proud to support area schools and wishes all educators a restful and well-deserved summer break.
