CHAI Reflects on a Momentous Year

CHAI thanks the many members of our community who joined our Annual Meeting on June 6 to reflect on a strong and impactful year serving northwest Baltimore. There was much to celebrate as we gathered to thank outgoing President Peter Burstein for his leadership and dedication, welcome incoming President Esther Weiner, install our new board, applaud the CHAI professional team, and honor partners. Principal LaShella Stanfield accepted an award on behalf of Cross Country Elementary/Middle School recognizing our successful partnership through the Community School program. Six members of the team from Housing Authority of Baltimore City (HABC), including President & CEO, Janet Abrahams, were present to accept an award thanking HABC for its excellence in supporting CHAI’s redevelopment projects. And the entire team delighted as Tony Marzocchi accepted a Special Service award to commend him for three decades of service to CHAI’s housing communities. As CHAI looks ahead to our new fiscal year, we are grateful for the support of our board, dedication of our professional team, and the many strong partners in our work.
