CHAI Puts Focus on Beautifying Northwest

For forty years, CHAI has been hosting neighborhood clean ups and other beautification activities, equipping volunteers with the tools they need to give back to their community. Last month, our community development team worked with neighborhood residents and a local school on two community projects. First on Good Deeds Day, neighbors and community members came together to support northwest Baltimore through a day of service. Armed with trash grabbers and rubber boots, volunteers worked together to beautify Western Run Stream. The next week, our team hosted an event at Fallstaff Elementary/Middle School to celebrate Earth Day, where students explored planting and growing techniques for fruit and vegetable seedlings, alongside our partners at the Plantation Park Heights Urban Farm. CHAI is proud to continue to strengthen the fabric of our neighborhoods through volunteerism and community engagement.
