CHAI Partners with Johns Hopkins Students to Identify Key Insights into Aging and Isolation
CHAI is proud to have collaborated with Johns Hopkins University on “Designing the Future: Health and Aging,” a course developed to teach undergraduate students design approaches to public health challenges associated with aging. This initiative focused on optimizing social connections in CHAI’s affordable housing communities in Baltimore. Service Coordinators worked alongside students to assess how older residents connect with one another and maintain relationships that enhance their experience living in senior housing and prevent isolation. CHAI was thrilled to participate in this innovative course, engaging future leaders in exploring practical solutions for improving social connections and overall well-being in older adults.
