CHAI Gathers Principals for Annual Convening

June 11, 2026

As part of an ongoing annual convening, CHAI recently brought together 12 principals from public schools across northwest Baltimore City and Pikesville, creating space for peer connection, reflection, and problem-solving. Throughout the discussion, principals engaged in collaborative dialogue about the opportunities they see within their school communities and together brainstormed ideas to better support students and their families. Beyond the convening, several principals also thanked CHAI for its Community School Partnership Program, which helps make possible many of the programs and opportunities they are able to provide for students and families. One recent example is the pictured Carson Reading Room, created through a partnership between CHAI, Pikesville school leaders, and the Phyllis & Louis Friedman Foundation. As another school year comes to a close, CHAI is proud to continue supporting school leaders across city and county lines, helping to build stronger schools and communities.
