CHAI Celebrates the Opening of Woodland Gardens II
CHAI was honored to host community members and stakeholders at the Grand Opening ceremony for Woodland Gardens II earlier this week. This newly constructed four-story building in the heart of Central Park Heights provides 75 units of connected and affordable housing for northwest Baltimore seniors. Remarks from CHAI’s CEO, Lisa K. Budlow, Senator Chris Van Hollen, Mayor Brandon Scott, City Council Vice President Sharon Green Middleton and representatives from project funders and partner organizations underscored the importance of this investment for Park Heights and its residents. “Few things are as important as having a safe place to call home [and] CHAI has been a pivotal leader in expanding access to affordable housing in Park Heights,” said Senator Van Hollen.
