CHAI Celebrates Milestones in Revitalization Initiatives

There is a lot of exciting investment happening in northwest Baltimore right now, and CHAI is at the center of the action, collaborating with partners and stakeholders to ensure these investments enhance the quality of life for all residents. Two key revitalization initiatives recently celebrated milestones. On August 12, CHAI joined the Pikesville Armory Foundation to celebrate the grand opening of the newly restored NCO Club, the first redeveloped building at the Armory. CHAI has proudly helped secure state funding for this transformative project and as CHAI’s CEO, Lisa Budlow, shared in her remarks at the ceremony, we are grateful to the Armory for its important role in building community in Pikesville. Then on August 22, CHAI was honored to participate in a demolition ceremony at the Pimlico Race Course, marking the beginning of the redevelopment project, which will bring a revitalized world-class racing facility to Park Heights in 2027. As a leader in the creation of the Pimlico Community Compact and member of the Pimlico Community Advisory Board (PCAB), CHAI continues to stand alongside our community partners to ensure this historic project brings investment to the neighborhoods surrounding the track. Both of these milestones are proof of what is possible when vision meets collaboration!
