CHAI Adds Post-Purchase Education to Homeowner Services
As a HUD-certified housing counseling agency, CHAI continues to grow its services to support homeownership in Baltimore. Last month, we held our first-ever post-purchase workshop, welcoming ten recent homeowners from Baltimore City and Baltimore County for a virtual education session. The workshop included information on the annual escrow analysis, homeowner tax credits, best practices for financial record-keeping, home repair assistance programs, and more. Workshop attendees left equipped with a fact sheet to help keep them on track for a successful homeownership journey. We plan to offer additional post-purchase workshops in the future that will educate homeowners on other topics, such as estate planning, energy efficiency, and home weatherization.
