Celebrating Progress in Central Park Heights
CHAI was honored to host community members and stakeholders at a groundbreaking ceremony on May 20 for Woodland Gardens II, a 75-unit rental property that will provide connected and affordable living for northwest Baltimore seniors. As construction vehicles worked on the Woodland Gardens II site, guests gathered on the adjacent lot (the future home of Woodland Gardens I, a 63-unit affordable family housing project) to hear inspiring remarks from CHAI’s CEO, Lisa K. Budlow, Mayor Brandon Scott, Councilwoman Sharon Green Middleton and representatives from project funders. CHAI would like to thank all the speakers, guests, staff, funders, community partners and press for showing support for this project – exciting progress and an important investment in Central Park Heights.
