Celebrating Gayle Newman’s Service and Legacy at Weinberg Villages

When Gayle Newman became the Activities Director at Weinberg Villages nearly two decades ago, she couldn’t have imagined just how deeply she would love the role or the residents she served. As she approaches retirement, Gayle reflects on the joy sparked by programs like ballet, community gardening, and the Iris Music Project, which brought creativity and connection to the Weinberg Villages community. On May 27, more than 100 residents gathered to celebrate Gayle’s incredible impact. One resident shared, “Every day that Gayle is here is a great day.” Another speaker added, “We can all carry a little bit of Gayle with us every day.” CHAI is deeply grateful for Gayle’s years of service and wishes her a retirement full of family, friendship, and love.
