Celebrating a Milestone Year at the Myerberg

July 9, 2026

Over 150 community members gathered at the Myerberg Center for its Annual Celebration, a morning that reflected both the vibrancy of the community today and the promising future ahead. This year, the Myerberg reached pre-pandemic membership levels, hosted eight community-wide events, and continued offering more than 80 programs each week, both onsite and virtually. The celebration also honored members and volunteers whose contributions help make the Myerberg such a special place. Bess Schuster and Jon Gamse received the Art Achievement Award for their creativity, growth, and willingness to explore new techniques. Sharie Blum was recognized with the Outstanding Volunteer Award for helping make the Myerberg a warm and welcoming place for everyone who walks through its doors. Janet Goldscher received the Mensch Award in recognition of her integrity, kindness, and commitment to the community. Looking ahead, excitement is building for the Myerberg’s 50th anniversary celebration and the launch of the Zahav (gold) Fund, which will help fill the annual operating gap, sustaining this beloved center for years to come.
