Building Leadership in Northwest Baltimore
Last month, CHAI launched a new Community Leadership Academy series in partnership with Baltimoreans United in Leadership Development (BUILD). More than 30 community leaders from northwest Baltimore City and County came together on a Sunday afternoon to participate in the first session of a four-part training on community organizing. The engaged group of northwest neighbors learned about the power we have when we work together. We are grateful to the Langston Hughes Community Center for hosting the kickoff. Future sessions will take place at rotating sites across northwest, including Sankofa Children’s Museum and the Myerberg Center. Through this leadership series, CHAI is engaging residents and supporters of northwest Baltimore to join together to make a difference in the neighborhoods we all love. We are looking forward to continuing to learn alongside our neighbors and build strong community.
