Bringing Light and Joy to Senior Residents
Since 2021, three professional musicians have served as the ensemble in residence for Weinberg Villages, providing rich, interactive musical experiences for residents and staff through the Iris Music Project (IMP). The community and hallway concerts provide immediate connection for residents through music, bringing people out of their apartments to sing and enjoy together. Earlier this year, seven residents were invited to write lullabies for their families in collaboration with the IMP musicians. Then the residents attended an IMP benefit celebration to hear their lullabies performed. And now, we are thrilled to announce that IMP has received a grant to expand this impactful program to our Weinberg Manors campus. Now, more of CHAI’s residents will have the benefit of this experience that feeds the soul and lightens their days.
